I bought their other album, Spleen, months ago, and then just recently bought this one ... without even listening to it first. Thankfully Revenant is also amazing, serving as the perfect precursor to their more recent material.

Par rapport à son prédécesseur, Wounds est un album plus organique. Nostalghia opte pour un post-black metal dans lequel les mélodies sont au centre ("Exit Wounds") et le chant clair plus souvent présent ("Quiet Grief"). J'aime vraiment le fait que Valeria Dávila soit en train de devenir une collaboratrice récurrente car ses interventions sont toujours d'une magnifique justesse : Wounds ne pouvait pas mieux présenter les émotions mises en jeu qu'avec cette prestation à l'accordéon sur "Rêverie".
